Mechanobiology
Nuclear Mechanics
We study the mechanics of the nucleus to understand how these properties can impact cellular function. We are also interested to see how nuclear actin and myosin contribute to these processes.
Mechanical changes during DNA damage
Using AFM, we can investigate how DNA damage may alter the mechanical environment, and how the mechanical environment can alter DNA damage.
Mechanical manipulation tools
We develop novel methodologies which allows ensembles of molecules and cells to be mechanically manipulated within the need for single molecule expertise.
